KANSAS, NEW JERSEY: Following a recent trip to an NFL game with Taylor Swift and her friends, director Shawn Levy opened up about the singer's level of fame, which he found to be "almost depressing."

After watching the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets play at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on October 1, the 'Night at the Museum' director, 55, was a little shaken, as reported by New York Post.

The Canadian film producer told Variety on Thursday, “It’s almost depressing by the way, I can make 50 more hit movies and shows and I”ll still be known as the guy in the orange suede jacket going to the Chiefs-Jets game with Taylor and others.”

Levy anticipated enjoying a fun night out with "the buddies" after receiving invitations to the game from his "very close friend" Reynolds and "closest friend Hugh." The high-profile group, however, appeared to have the world's attention for a brief period of time.

The director of 'Deadpool' and 'Stranger Things' recalled, "We had a glimmer that maybe there would be others, but nothing prepared us for the frenzy of attention that was that outing."

He added, "I've known famous people, but Taylor is unquestionably a culture magnet unlike anything I've seen. Very enjoyable night."

Shawn Levy 'never been more conscious'

Levy made another joke about having to control his potty mouth. He said, “I think I might have said to Ryan and Blake on the ride to the stadium, ‘I’ve never been more conscious of being careful of what I say.'"

He added, "If you are going to a football game in a box with Taylor you pretty much have to assume that you are on camera all the time and they’re capable of slow motion so they can definitely read lips. So I kept it clean.”

After the game, Levy posted on Instagram that "all future Sunday nights are ruined" after watching the Chiefs win 23-20 with one of the most well-known people in the world.

Levy posted a photo of the happy group in their VIP box above the field with the caption, "Apparently there was also a football game played last night," on Instagram.
