What did Gigi Hadid say about the Israel-Paltestine conflict?

This comes after the 28-year-old model condemned the violence and reportedly posted a picture that read, “There is nothing Jewish about the Israeli government's treatment of Palestinians."

“Condemning the Israeli government is not antisemitic and supporting Palestinians is not supporting Hamas,” the photo further read.

Her 74-year-old father re-shared the photo and wrote, “Just that simple.”

Gigi also issued a lengthy statement amid the conflict which read, “My thoughts are with all those affected by this unjustifiable tragedy, and every day that innocent lives are taken by this conflict - too many of which are children."

“I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it's a responsibility I hold daily,” Gigi wrote.

She continued, “I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person. The terrorizing of innocent people is not in alignment with and does not do any good for the ‘Free Palestine’ movement.”

“If you are hurting, as I share my condolences today with my loved ones, both Palestinian and Jewish, I'm sending you my love and strength - whoever and wherever you are,” the famous personality added.

Israel's government fires back at Gigi Hadid

The Israeli authorities did not take Gigi’s voice in good spirits and slammed her by saying, “There is nothing valiant about Hamas' massacre of Israelis."

"Condemning Hamas for what it is (ISIS) is not anti-Palestine and supporting Israelis in their fight against barbaric terrorists is the right thing to do,” the Israeli authorities said.

They also tagged the television personality in their social media post while mentioning, “Have you been sleeping the past week?”

“Or you just fine turning a blind eye to Jewish babies being butchered in their homes? Your silence has been very clear about where you stand. We see you,” they added.

Internet reacts to Gigi Hadid and family getting death threats

Internet users took to social media to express their views over Gigi Hadid and her family getting death threats for their opinions on the conflict and the Israeli authorities' reaction to her social media post.

One social media user wrote on X, "Israel’s account targeting Gigi Hadid is a threat. That’s beyond harassment tbh. An official government account publicly shaming a half Palestinian celeb for speaking up for Palestinians is a threat."

Another user commented, "Israel calls out Gigi Hadid. She is Palestinian and what the hell does Israel think she would do? "We see you." I hope that is not threat against her...Sounds like it."

One user slammed Hadid and said, "It's so disgusting that when people with platforms (such as gigi hadid) publicly support palestine, they get doxxed and sent death threats. those with louder voices are just shut down and it's devastating to watch."
