Toddlers, with their innocent curiosity, are walking balls of entertainment and warmth. They casually steal the limelight in every family gathering and melt hearts with their mere presence. Little Hadley, for instance, went viral on the internet with her adorable rendition of the popular country banger, 'You Are My Sunshine,' when her mother Karsen Roberson (@karsennroberson) shared a video on TikTok.

As per Scoop Upworthy, Hadley, who is older now, could barely pronounce the song lyrics as she held up a toy guitar taller than her to put together a rock performance for her mom. Wobbling on her feet, she sweetly sang in her diapers, “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy.” A moment later, the baby switched to a more rock-appropriate version of the lullaby, clutching onto the guitar. “Bit faster!” she firmly yelled in her baby voice and began singing the lyrics in a louder tone rather than faster.

The rockstar did put in efforts to amp up the beats, yelling at the top of her baby lungs, before the lyrics faded into plain toddler gibberish. Hadley concluded her rock performance with a little smile as her parents clapped for her. The heartwarming snippet, a throwback moment from Hadley’s childhood, was met with an overwhelming reaction from the internet, amassing millions of views and over 2.5 million likes. Netizens showered her with love. “I don't EVER WANNA hear anyone else sing this,” a person (@leslieshantell) remarked, while another (@ch3rishann3) shared, “What a precious moment to have caught on film, a future rockstar in the making! She definitely made my day.” Some noted how the baby said faster but proceeded to sing only louder. “She said ‘bit faster’ but only got louder. Got to love kids man,” said an amused netizen (@tre-vene).

Meanwhile, a TikTok (@granny_nean1) shared a touching story. They penned, “We lost our son on 06/14/14 and I sang this song to him at his hospital bedside. I watched this video over and over in tears. Thank you.” Well, babies really are a blessing to the world. “I just sat here and cried for like 2 minutes straight!!!!” another emotional commenter (@rjohns95) wrote. A mom (@thewifezilla) also related to the clip. She said, “This is just like my 2-year-old. Her faster means louder.”

Hadley is not the first baby to go viral for her great taste in music. Music is in fact an essential part of a kid’s life that goes beyond entertainment. It contributes to their learning and development, or what experts cite as a 'rich sensory environment.' Music exposes a child to a variety of things– coordination, rhythms, sounds, patterns, to name a few.
