Sylvester Stallone’s eldest son lost his life after undergoing dental surgery despite his mom’s warning

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sylvester Stallone’s professional life has been great, but in his personal world he has faced several ups and downs, which includes the devastating loss of his eldest child.

The 77-year-old actor is a proud family man, who shares sons and daughters with his first and third wives respectively.

Who are Sylvester Stallone’s wives?

The ‘Rocky’ actor has married thrice in his life. His first wife was Sasha Czack with whom he tied the knot in 1974 but got divorced in 1985.

Then came Brigitte Nielsen. But the two remained together only from 1985 to 1987. Stallone then went on to exchange vows with his third and current wife, Jennifer Flavin.

With Czack, the star had two sons — Sage Stallone and Seargeoh Stallone. However, Sage is no more in this world. Flavin and Stallone share three daughters together — Sistine Stallone, Scarlet Rose Stallone, and Sophia Rose Stallone.

Who was Sage Stallone?

Sage was the eldest child of the ‘First Blood’ star. He was also an actor as well as a movie director.

The father-son relationship was not very good initially. 

However, eventually, they became each other's rock as the late Sage once said about his famous father, as per PEOPLE, “He’ll walk off that set to talk to me now. My father realizes that he did okay with me. He did the best he could.”

He also added, “We’d do anything for each other.”

What happened to Sage Stallone?

Sage lost his life in July 2012 at the age of 36. At first, it was speculated that he died because of drug abuse but soon it was disclosed that his cause of death was atherosclerosis, resulting in a heart attack.

Reports also said that Sage was taking painkillers after undergoing dental surgery that removed his five teeth despite being advised not to do so by his mother.

Czack told The New York Post, “I told him not to do that. I’ve heard about people dying having multiple procedures done to their mouths. Do not have more than one tooth [pulled].”

Following the tragedy, Stallone reportedly issued a statement saying, “When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain.”

He continued, “Therefore I am imploring people to respect my wonderfully talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother, Sasha, because this agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives.”

“Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory and soul left in peace,” the actor added at the time.
