These 20-year-old twin sisters asked their stepmom to adopt them in an emotional moment
A pair of twin sisters decided to surprise their stepmom on Mother's Day with a special gift: asking her to adopt them!
On May 9th, Gabriella Ruvolo and her twin sister, Julianna, presented stepmom Becky with a photo book for the special holiday. While their dad Pete was filming, the stepmom was in for a surprise when she got to the last page, reports PEOPLE. The twins asked her the emotional question and Becky began to sob uncontrollably as she told the 20-year-old twins, "Of course, I will!" The New Jersey family's emotional video was posted on TikTok on May 9 and set to Coldplay's 2000 hit single "Yellow." In just under two weeks, the video went viral with over 5 million views in just 11 days.

"I was so caught off guard," Becky told Good Morning America. "When I read that, it was just pure shock and an honor and the emotions of just like, 'Is this really happening?'" "When I met the girls, I was very nervous, but we hit it off," she added, "And it kind of just snowballed and flowed from there into our family." Julianna and Gabriella first met Becky when they were just eight years old but they always knew that their bond with her was super special. They knew that one day, she would be their mom. "We figured, like, what's the best time to ask the biggest question we will probably ever ask? And why not make it on Mother's Day? Ask our mom to officially be our mother on the day dedicated to her," Julianna explained. "We were already calling her mom because it felt so natural," added Gabriella. "We met as friends and then she became mom and it was just, from the start, it was like love at first sight." Added Julianna: "We always went to her as we would a mom. She was always there for us."

Their dad married Becky back in 2013 and they were always one big happy family ever since. But it definitely feels extra special to make things official and Pete agreed. "To actually see it unfold, just filled me with such a feeling of pride, proud for my girls and for my wife. I know how happy that would make her and it really was such a special moment," he said. "It's possible to have a true family whether it [is] blended or not. And you can have this kind of love."
The New Jersey family behind a viral TikTok video says they didn't expect their story to gain global attention but are happy to share their blended family's story and unique bond with others. https://t.co/4egk65Vjgz
