'Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,' the ex-pair said in a statement

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The news that Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are 'amicably' separating has not been a shock for their friends. An insider reportedly claimed they had “morphed into roommates.”
The ex-pair issued a joint statement regarding the new development and said, as per PEOPLE, “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.”
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” they noted.

What happened between Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness?
The ‘Logan’ star and the Australian beauty were together for almost three decades after their wedding in 1996. They also eventually went on to adopt two children — Oscar, now 23, and Ava, now 18 — and became parents.
However, things reportedly changed for the worse during the Covid-19 lockdown.
A tipster said, “They are forever linked, forever together with the children they have.”
They continued, “But after the past few years, the love they had for each other turned more into a friendship which got broken during Covid, as the lockdown didn't help their marriage at all and really put a strain on their relationship.”
