This photo of two girls looked normal until people noticed a creepy woman hiding in plain sight

Optical illusions are designed to test people's perception of reality by tricking the eyes into seeing one thing while the brain interprets it as something else. This often challenges the human mind and makes people curious about what the illusion is attempting to hide. One such optical illusion recently appeared online, confusing the majority of observers. At first sight, the picture of two girls sitting next to each other, one with blonde hair and the other with brown. But, only a small number of people are reportedly able to spot the third woman who is hidden in the photo.

The image appears quite normal at first glance, but someone with slightly blurred vision might notice a hidden third face. On X (formerly Twitter), users have been debating this mystery; some have identified the face fast, while others have tried their best but still haven't been able to see it. An X user shared the image along with the caption, "Nearsighted fam: take your glasses off and pull your phone away from your eyes. Look at the blonde girl." One X user, @DeedleFake, commented, "I've unfocused my eyes, I've squinted, I've closed one eye while unfocused and squinting... What in the world am I looking for? I don't see anything."

Another person, who goes by the username @Jensgettininky, wrote, "For those wondering, the shadow in the hair and under the chin are eyes, the lighter bit of hair along the face (and the shadow at the end of it) are the nose, the untucked bit of the shirt is the chin, and the light wrinkle above it is the mouth." Then @may_hemmer, commented, "OH, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SEE? I have OCD; if somebody doesn't explain this to me, I won't sleep tonight!" User @infamousmds wrote, "I think my contacts are too good to see anything but too little girls not sure what u guys are seeing."

For those who manage to fully decode the optical illusion, a chilling image of a woman with an eerie pale face and piercing dark eyes stares menacingly from the left side of the picture. She’s cleverly hidden within the hair and body of the blonde girl, and while she's easier to spot once you know about her presence, the unsettling image doesn’t lose its creepiness. The blonde girl’s face contours into the woman’s forehead, a shadow in her hair and beneath her chin creates the woman’s eyes, while the nose forms near the bottom of the hair, and a subtle crease in the girl’s t-shirt shapes the woman’s mouth.

Meanwhile, in another unsettling optical illusion, four women are hidden within a picture, but many people are having trouble spotting them all. A woman with long, flowing hair is depicted in the sketch, which was made by Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak, but that's only what appears on the surface. The artwork initially seems to just show a woman in a gorgeous outfit casually talking on the phone. One woman is easily identifiable, but according to The Mirror, three other women are difficult to spot.
