Thoughtful parents, Tifany Allen-Ciota and Michael Ciota, are going viral on social media for coming up with a creative and useful “period board" for their daughters during "that time of the month". The couple is parents to Courtney (18) and Brooke (30). Although the original video is currently unavailable, the video was reshared on TikTok by It's August (@itsaugustco). The video details the viral period board and everything included in it. It has all the essentials that a woman might need during the monthly period, including tampons and pads, a heating pad, and candies. This sweet gesture has won hearts online.

The board also includes the comfort food one might crave during menstruation, like chocolate bars and several other snacks, as reported by Motherly. In the video clip, Tifany said, “Your teenage daughter comes home and she’s emotional because it’s that time of the month, you want to meet her at the door with the Aleve and maybe some tissues. She might just be raging, but you never know.” While Michael doesn't understand much of his daughters' needs during their period, he still wants to make them feel happy and comfortable.

As the video clip went viral on various social media platforms, people praised the parents' thoughtful gesture, calling it a genius way to ensure women are comfortable and pain-free during their period. It is truly what most of them need. During an interview, Tifany said, “My husband is very talented in the kitchen. He always puts together something fabulous, and he’s great at putting together charcuterie boards, and now he helps me with the period boards.” As reported by Scary Mommy, she added, “We include whatever they want on there to help get them through. We want them to know they are loved and supported.”

Tifany also said, "I’ve been taking him [Michael] to shops to explain the different sanitary products and which of our girls prefers what. I’ve had a lot of other dads reach out as well on social media wanting to learn more.” She also opened up about how she came up with the brilliant idea. “I kept seeing all these new types of boards on TikTok, like a butter board and pasta board. I just thought we needed a period board,” the mom said.  Tifany wanted to make sure her daughters felt their home was a safe space for them. The period board gesture began as a joke, and Tifany thought Courtney and Brooke might be embarrassed, but they ended up loving it.

Meanwhile, as reported by Everyday Health, most women suffer from the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, which include unbearable cramps, weird cravings, and drastic mood swings. Although these symptoms may vary from person to person, it's generally a difficult phase for any woman, which occurs every month. It’s not just the materialistic things; women also crave emotional support and constant reassurance during this time. All they want is to feel understood and supported, and these simple and loving gestures go a long way.
