'Time to try something new': Salma Hayek 'working hard' to find Angelina Jolie a billionaire beau

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Salma Hayek, 57, is reportedly attempting to play matchmaker for her famous friend Angelina Jolie, 48, following the single star's acrimonious divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt, 59, according to RadarOnline.com.

Hayek allegedly raised the bar for potential suitors and is hunting for suitable dates for the 'Eternals' star. Nothing less than an eligible billionaire beau will do, apparently. While playing Cupid, Hayek, like any good friend, is said to have Jolie's best interests in mind.

Salma Hayek thinks Angelina Jolie should 'try something new'

 An insider spilled on Hayek's alleged matchmaking endeavours. "Following Angie's disastrous relationships with actors – including her crash and burn marriages with Brad Pitt and Billy Bob Thornton — Salma thinks it's time for Angie to try something new," said a tipster.

The source continued, according to the National Enquirer, "She's got her eye on a few eligible businessmen who would know how to handle dating one of the world's most famous women and is hard at working trying to set up Angie with dates."

Hayek gained some insight into the world of billionaire businessmen after her relationships with actors Josh Lucas and Edward Norton fizzled. She eventually wed one and has a 16-year-old daughter with 61-year-old French businessman François-Henri Pinault, who's net worth is estimated to be around $36 billion.

The insider continued on the close friends "Not only are Salma and Angie best friends, they also know each other's children. Salma doesn't just want to see Angie with a great man. She also wants to see Angie's children with a great father."

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce was rough on their children

The children of the couple were caught up in their parents' protracted legal dispute after Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016.  

Couple's children—Madddox, 21, Pax, 19, and Zahara, 18—reached adulthood as the divorce process went on, further complicating matters.

Shiloh, 17, and the twins Knox and Vivienne, 14, who were the minors caught between their parents, had also reached an age where their opinions could be taken into account when it comes to custody decisions.

Jolie recently dipped her toes into the dating scene while battling Pitt in court over custody and their estate. As reported by RadarOnline, Jolie was dating again in December 2022 and that she had plenty of fun with much younger men.

An insider said of Jolie at the time, "She gets a thrill out of arranging to meet up for an afternoon tryst, She's very alpha about the whole thing. She makes the guys sign NDAs, arranges the hotel suites — never under her own name — and she sets the time and never, ever spends the night."

The source said while noting, "She's never going to sign up for apps or take a chance on someone who doesn't have the seal of approval of someone she trusts."
