Many parents know the daily struggle with toddlers who only want to wear their favorite outfit, no matter how many new clothes are in the closet. That’s exactly what happened to Emma Kay (@emma.kay.brown), whose daughter Capri became a TikTok star for insisting on princess dresses every day. When Emma tried to get Capri into something different, Capri simply replied, “I just want… the princess dresses.”

“You want to wear a princess dress again? Capri, can we wear one of the million summer outfits I just bought you like a month ago?” her mother asks the little one. While Capri responds, like she is almost an adult in her adorable little voice. “I just want… the princess dresses," she says again.

Parents everywhere related to and flooded the video’s comments, sharing stories of their little style icons. If you’re in this stage, experts from the American Academy of Paediatrics recommend offering two choices you’re happy with, saving dress-up for home, and cherishing these memories, they’ll be gone before you know it. In the end, sometimes letting go a little keeps the peace at home, and that’s a win. This phase is normal; toddlers use clothes to assert their independence and find comfort. For most families, it’s a lesson in picking your battles. Emma sums it up best, in the caption section, saying, “I let her wear the princess dresses 6/7 days a week.”

The comment section was all for giving a shoutout with @Rylie Shepherd saying, "Oh my gosh, my daughter is the same way, and it’s always the night gown one, so everyone thinks I haven’t changed her out of pajamas," while @MiaRoseee narrated her own ordeal saying, "Same all she wants to wear is her two bluey dresses and only bluey shoes, church and all." Then, a very sweet, @Tazrian commented, "A princess has to wear her princess dress." While @Dani was narrating her own story, and said, "This is the story of my life with my daughter!"

@emma.kay.brown I know this stage won’t last long but please believe when I say I let her wear the princess dresses 6/7 days a week. 😂🎀👸🏽 #mom #girlmom #girlmomlife #toddlermom #relatablemom #momhumor #toddlerlife ♬ Funny Song - Funny Song Studio & Thomas Hewitt Jones & Sounds Reel

Having a little girl means a lot of things, and for many moms, one of the unexpected joys is getting to dress them up in tiny bows to glittery shoes. It's like having a real-life doll with a personality of her own. And one mom, Janelle, on TikTok just captured that magic perfectly, as she showcased her little daughter's diva moment. In the video, her toddler daughter gets ready to head out, but not before making the all-important decision of choosing her shoes. With total confidence, the little girl lifts her leg to show off her pick, sparkly silver slip-ons with a mini block heel, straight out of a princess's dream, and it's almost like she knows what she is doing. The video was viewed several times and had more than a million likes. “She’s just a girl,” the caption reads, but online, people were cheering for this tiny fashion icon.
