LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Salma Hayek has honored Matthew Perry with a heartfelt tribute. The 'Like a Boss' actress vowed to treasure the late 'Friends' star's "lovely heart" a few days after learning of his unexpected death.
The 57-year-old actress honored Matthew on Monday, October 30, by posting a message on her Instagram. She wrote, "My friend, you are gone much too soon, but I will continue to cherish your silliness, your perseverance, and your lovely heart. Farewell, sweet Matthew, we will never forget you."

Salma Hayek recalls 'special bond' with Matthew Perry
Salma recalled learning of Matthew's death in the same post. She said, "Two days ago, I woke up to the shocking news that Matthew Perry is no longer with us, It's taken me a couple of days to process this profound sadness. There is a special bond that happens when you share dreams with someone, and together you work towards them."

She further added, "I was very moved last year when Matthew shared on his Instagram stories how much he loved 'Fools Rush In,' and how he thought that that film we did together was probably his best movie. Throughout the years, he and I found ourselves reminiscing about that meaningful time in our lives with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude."

Salma posted a number of old pictures of her and Matthew along with the homage. She was pictured in one of the photos putting her arm around his shoulder. In another picture, the two were posing for a group photo alongside Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney, as reported by Aceshowbiz.

Meanwhile, Matthew's statement regarding his and Salma's film 'Fools Rush In' was displayed in the other photo. The late actor's Instagram Story from the past read, "I did a movie that I love called Fools Rush In with @Salmahayek - that was probably my best movie." The statement was in response to the question, "Is playing Chandler your most treasured role or is it some other role?"
