Young boy arrives in style to meet his baby cousin at the hospital — he even had a great reason for it

Welcoming a new baby into the family is an exciting moment for everyone. While most are keen to get a glimpse of the child, only a few make an effort to dress up for them. Such is the energy of Gabby’s nephew, who showed up to the hospital looking sharp, dressed head-to-toe in a suit to meet his newborn cousin. On TikTok, Gabby posted a clip showcasing her nephew’s iconic sense of style on her page, @gabby.skiii. Predictably, the video was a hit among viewers and parents, applauding the young man for his sweet gesture. 

The nine-second clip, viewed 28 million times, revolves around the chic gentleman’s aura as he casually sits around the hospital bed, donning black shades, AirPods, and a fresh pair of Nike kicks. As most would assume, it was not a practical joke or stunt, but rather a deep love for his baby cousin. “POV: Your nephew shows up to the hospital to meet your daughter in a suit.” When asked about the motive behind his outfit, the creator revealed the reason in the note on the video. “You ask why, and he says: ‘First impressions matter’.” Well, they surely do. 

In this case, his cousin would most likely not notice his grand efforts, but that’s what pictures are for. When the cousin grows up and looks back on the moment, the gesture is bound to tie the two closer and create a sense of belonging. The boy also held the baby in his arms while showing off his AirPods planted in his ears at the end. “Swag is unmatched,” praised Gabby in the caption. Meanwhile, the internet was enamored by the cousin’s self-awareness and received 6.4 million hearts and thousands of comments discussing the boy's charming persona.

Parents are the primary caregivers for their children, but siblings also play an important role that is often underestimated.
