Who doesn’t love receiving gifts from their grandparents? Most grandparents are known for spoiling their grandkids with the best gifts and feeding them to the brim with delicious meals at every chance they get. A TikTok video of one such lovely grandpa gifting his 11 grandkids with some interesting and unique gifts has gone viral on the platform and has drawn some positive media attention as well. The 87-year-old grandad, Liam Ryan, has a huge family and he made sure to bring neatly wrapped gifts for all of his grandchildren, aged between 4 to 28, but nobody could really guess what was inside their presents.

Upon unwrapping each of their presents, everyone erupted into waves of laughter and giggles when they discovered that all the grandchildren had received a pair of Crocs each and a customized charm with Ryan's face on it. The charm can also be attached to the Crocs.

Grace Pettit shared the joyful Tiktok video on her page where she added that her late grandma Phyllis used to go to the beach wearing a pair of bright teal Crocs and a matching cover-up. Thus, receiving the Crocs as a gift holds a sentimental value for them. Pettit, 24, spoke to TODAY and revealed that their granny "was the center of the house and just loved everyone so much.”

"Gramps embraces that same energy, which is beautiful. He makes each of us feel special. He's always calling to check in and see what we're up to,” she added.

Pettit confirmed that Gramps is enjoying his sudden internet fame to the fullest. However, this isn’t the only video that has made Ryan one of the most beloved grandfathers on the social media platform. Pettit posted another TikTok video where the duo can be seen together in the frame filming a “fit-check” video while Pettit was visiting for the holidays.

Since Ryan hails from a different generation, he wasn’t familiar with the Gen-Z internet lingos like “fit-check” but that did not stop him from appearing in the video. “Hi, I’m Gramps,” he states in the video enthusiastically. “My jeans are a Christmas gift. My shirt is a Christmas gift. My sweater, my brother gave me. My sneakers..."

He then waited for Pettit to prompt him with whatever he had to say next. The adorable TikTok duo surely managed to make the internet crowd melt with their bonding. Pettit is a second-grade teacher in Hawaii and due to some other reasons as well she has to live nearly 5000 miles away from Gramps but they maintain steady contact with one another.

“We’re really close,” Pettit said. "I'm lucky.” There is no denying that the internet loves the older generation hopping onto internet trends with their grandkids or children to explore the Gen Z culture as it shows the beautiful relationships in a family. Ryan and Pettit also spoke to Good Morning America and disclosed that they are “very close” to each other and when Pettit suggested making a fit-check video, Ryan was more than eager to do it.

"We were just sitting on the couch, hanging out, and I kind of was like, 'OK, let's do something. We're both not doing anything.' And then I forced Gramps to get up and make this video," Pettit revealed. "We obviously had no idea that people would like it so much." Gramps is enjoying his rising popularity on the internet but he is still in awe of it. "He's still in shock. It doesn't make sense to either of us, but as long as people are smiling," Pettit added.
