A 6-year-old girl came home from school with a real diamond ring — then the story got even wilder

Love has no age. Wherever two smitten sweethearts happen to come across each other, love befalls upon their heads. Sometimes, it’s the first grade. In a TikTok video that came into the public spotlight, a mom named Allie Phillips (@.allie.phillips) shared how her 6-year-old daughter Adalie found herself entangled in a “hilarious” love triangle. In this cute love triangle, the winner turned out to be a diamond ring. “In her first grade class, who sits right behind her, is her boyfriend that she had in kindergarten. They have the same class and everything,” Phillips said in the video.

She shared that her daughter Adalie can’t stop talking about this young crush of hers named Brandon. “Brandon this, Brandon that. She loves Brandon. They're getting married. Yada yada yada.” “Today she comes home and I said, 'How was school?' And she said, 'Well, I need to tell you something. Mommy needs to sit down.” When Phillips sat down with Adalie, she told her that, during school recess, while she was playing, “This little boy named Trevor came up to her […] and gave her this ring.” Turns out, it was a real diamond wedding ring.

Trevor “pretty much asked her to be his girlfriend, and so she dumped Brandon. She https://thedailynet.com/woman-reaches-out-to-her-father-after-a-breakup-what-he-told-her-changed-her-life with Brandon, her kindergarten boyfriend that she's been with for almost a year now,” the mom shared. "It's so funny," she exclaimed. Stunned at seeing the valuable ring, she questioned her daughter about how she got it. Adalie responded that “[Trevor] says he buys them all the time.” Touched by the innocence of young hearts, Phillips posted some pictures of the ring on the school’s Facebook pages and ended up receiving a response from Trevor’s parents. She just wanted to make sure that the ring got “back to its rightful owner.”

Trevor’s mom reached out to Phillips and revealed that the ring actually was an heirloom belonging to his great-grandmother, who lives in Alabama. During their recent visit to her house, the boy purloined the ring. She assured that the ring would soon be returned to the grandma. “Maybe he'll get dumped tomorrow by my daughter and she'll go back to uh Brandon, but who knows?” The mom exclaimed. “I was not prepared for this,” commented @ren. @user532317550 shared, “My son brought my Tiffany’s ring to school in 1st grade to give his girlfriend (without my knowledge) and then proceeded to lose it in the wood chips of the playground before he could give it to her!” @mirana_mills_1 wrote, “Travor knew what he wanted, and he achieved it.”

After so many people requested an update, Phillips posted a follow-up video revealing that Adalie was still hooked up with Trevor and “Brandon, who sits directly behind her in the class, won’t talk to her. Apparently, he’s mad... I wonder why,” said the mom. After the story caught wind on social media, News Channel 5 reached out to Phillips to interview her daughter.

She shared footage of Adalie getting chased by a cameraman in the playground, with a microphone attached to her collar. "I cannot choose whichever boy I want because I'm obsessed with boys," Adalie giggled while sharing this with News Channel 5. Everyone is now curious to see where this love triangle heads, into the next blockbuster rom-com, probably.
