Brad Pitt had a brilliant one-word response for why he wore (and rocked) a skirt to a movie premiere

While many see Brad Pitt as the epitome of classic masculinity, he has never allowed it to dictate his fashion choices.

Brad Pitt once turned heads at the 'Bullet Train' movie premiere in Berlin with a daring fashion choice—a calf-length linen skirt. The garment, featuring a raw, asymmetrical hem, was shorter in the front. Pitt paired it with a matching linen jacket and a dusty-rose button-down, casually untucked, slightly unbuttoned, and wrinkled. He completed the ensemble with black Stylmartin boots, brown sunglasses, layered gold and silver chains, and two gold rings. The outfit also offered fans a rare glimpse of the actor's tattoos that until then, had never been seen before.

When questioned about his outfit choice, Pitt offered a cheeky reply to the reporter. As reported by HuffPost, he simply said, “The breeze.” The actor also predicted that skirts would be a major trend for men. As reported by Vogue, he said, “Men will be wearing skirts by next summer. That’s my prediction and proclamation. The film answers to both genders. We were going for realism, and Greeks wore skirts all the time then.” Although his recent fashion choices suggest otherwise, the actor was once convinced.

For Pitt, fashion is all about feeling at ease in his skin. The actor has always emphasized comfort over trends, refusing to be confined to any single fashion label or style. Pitt once said, "I like monochrome, without it being a uniform. I like simplicity. I like the details in the stitching, the way it feels. If anything, that’s the only divining rod I have.” He added, “It’s led by comfort. I like the feel of a Lecia camera or the way a watch feels. I don’t want to look ostentatious, but if you come close, you notice. I like how the lining feels. It’s those details that are important to me. It’s too exhausting to follow trends. And I despise billboards; I just don’t want to be a billboard.”

Pitt may embody classic masculinity to many, but he has never let it define his fashion choices. Long before pushing boundaries was the norm, he made a statement in a 1999 Rolling Stone photo spread, when he effortlessly rocked a series of minidresses. Among Hollywood’s elite, he stands out as proof that style transcends age, inspiring everything from Hawaiian shirts to denim jackets and cowboy boots. Additionally, his love for style doesn’t stop at just wearing it—Pitt took it a step further by co-founding God’s True Cashmere in 2019, a brand devoted to ultra-soft, effortlessly cool cashmere shirts.

Pitt has had several other viral fashion moments over the years. In another incident during the late ‘80s, the Hollywood actor rocked bold muscle tanks, light-wash jeans, and high-top Adidas sneakers, effortlessly pulling off the ultimate cool-guy look, as reported by HOLA! Magazine. On the other hand, during the True Romance era, he stuck to his signature style—button-up shirts, rolled-up sleeves, and deep V-necklines. He also grew his hair long, a prince-like mane that perfectly suited his already striking physical features.
