Bride panics as she can't find her dress hours before wedding — then an unlikely hero saved the day

A wedding is one of the most special occasions in a person's life, and one would want everything to be perfect for the big day. Apart from the venue, catering, and guest list, the bride's outfit is one of the most essential things for a wedding. Waking up to realize that it has gone missing is nothing short of nightmarish for a woman. That’s the kind of panic that hit a TikTok creator named Danielle Olivia Lyth (@danielleolivia_) on her special day.
Danielle narrated the ordeal in a video on TikTok, which has since received more than 500,000 views as per a report in Newsweek. The text overlay on the video read, “She doesn’t know it yet, but in about 10 minutes, her mum is going to tell her she forgot to pack her wedding dress and her veil.” But, before things went terribly wrong, the then-bride-to-be had a fantastic time.

She was nervous about her wedding and had asked her fiancé, Jamie, the day before, to take it easy on the drinking. However, it turns out Danielle enjoyed a few shots and had to be carried to the hotel where she was staying. It made sense that she was nervous as her family was juggling a lot of events in a matter of a few days. There was a party the night before the wedding, and their daughter’s christening would be a couple of days later. Even after that, Danielle did not wake up hungover on the day of her wedding. She felt as fresh as a daisy, ready to be married to the man of her dreams. Little did she know about the roadblock that was about to come in her way. At the time, Jamie was at the pool having a swim with their daughter.
"I asked my mom to go and get my wedding dress from her room so we could put it on the mannequin to display it for photos," Danielle reminisced, but the dress did not turn up for quite some time. With only four hours remaining until the bride had to get ready, everyone went into a frenzy looking for the dress. Her mother then realized that it could be at their house. The problem was that the place was more than an hour away from the venue, and Danielle had to be ready in four hours. The responsibility to get it fell on her brother-in-law, and things did not calm down when he reached the bride’s house, as he couldn’t find the dress anywhere. Things could have descended into chaos further, but thankfully, he found it before that.

"He eventually found a big box behind the door at the villa and a black box with my veil in and showed us on FaceTime, I could have screamed with happiness," Danielle said after the ordeal was over. Her brother-in-law was able to get back to the hotel just in time for her pre-ceremony photos.
