Bride says she needs to pee right before walking down the aisle — bridesmaids knew exactly what to do

Weddings often become a melting pot of fun and emotional memories. A new bride, Tara Mulroy (@byjoshandmare), made sure she gave the guests and herself something to remember on hers, which took place on a Colorado mountain in September 2024. All set to walk down the aisle, Mulroy realized she needed to go to the toilet moments before the ceremony began. It was one of those situations where the bride must go, or she might get in trouble. Mulroy then figured out a way to relieve herself with the help of her bridesmaids. On TikTok, her epic moment peeing in a bush while her team holds up her extravagant wedding gown has gone viral for all the right reasons.

The hilarious snippet offered a glimpse into her stupendous feat of trying to pee in a bush with her dress on. “When the bride has to pee before the ceremony,” an overlay on the video declared. The bride and her friends laughed hysterically while the dress was held up in a poof, impressively providing her with privacy. “Okay, I finished,” Mulroy said, getting up. One of her friends asked, “You want some toilet paper or are you good?” She casually responds to that, saying, “I’m good. I think we’re doing a little drip dry situation.”

Talking to PEOPLE, Mulrou revealed why she did not want to go to the toilet instead. “The restroom was a bit of a hike,” and her wedding dress was too big to fit into the small bathroom. If taken off, there would not be enough time to dress her up again. Hence, her bathroom solution. With that, the unabashed bride also asked the videographers to film the moment, making it one of the best memories from her special day. “So the bride, being the hilarious and carefree person she is, decided to pop a squat instead and asked me to film it. We all cracked up, and it turned into one of the most memorable moments of the day!" said Josh and Mare Knighten.

Mulroy’s wedding gown flaunted an eight-foot train and hundreds of yards of tulle, making it almost impossible to take it down to pee in a bathroom. Taking a leak into the bush also did not seem very convenient for her, thanks to her bridesmaid girls– Jamie Dagg, Emma Friedland, Kinley Nett, Nessa Fried, Josie Einsel, and Wesley Cooper. Mulroy noted that none of her friends were surprised by her antics. "They weren’t thrown off one bit — we’re outdoor girlies through and through! We spend our summers camping and rafting, and our winters snowboarding or skiing, so when nature calls, we’re used to making it work in wild places,” the bride shared.

She took a moment to appreciate her “ultimate team,” who held up her tulle and made it seem easier than it was. The dress was held up above her head like a tent while the girls giggled their way through the pee session. “Girlhood is a superpower!" she quipped. Meanwhile, for her parents, it was just another day, but they were surprised when they realized more than 13 million people had seen her pee on her wedding day.
