Dad records fake job interview about his 'productive' routine — and daughter's reaction said it all

As adulthood strikes, we humans begin to lose our innocence and learn to blend in with the world. And going along with how the world works means we may have to put up a fake front sometimes. One of the best examples of this situation would be job interviews, where most people wear a mask of perfection to make themselves seem appealing. But one little girl, Abby, who goes by @alongcameabby on Instagram, was not ready to let her dad pretend like he's perfect during a video interview. In a viral video from 2022, the dad, Andrew Terry, recorded a "fake" video about his "productive" daily routine to see Abby's reaction, and the kid sure is a treat to watch.

Terry, wearing a formal suit and donning a professional demeanor, started his video by introducing his daughter, the then-6-year-old Abby. He convinced her that the job interview demanded that the candidates include one of their children, and so, she sat beside him pretty attentively at the beginning. Pointing to his suit, the dad said that he dresses like that every day and that he goes for a run every morning as soon as he wakes up at 4 am. Little Abby couldn't hide her disbelief, but still played along like a good girl. But when the dad talked about doing all the household chores like cleaning and washing the dishes, she shouted, "CUT!" like a film director.

Abby, being a virtuous little lady, tried to stop her dad from bluffing his way through the interview. "I make sure that the dogs are bathed, and when my wife wakes up, everything is done. So, I'm very diligent in that," explained Terry. With a smug expression on her face, Abby just said, "Bye!" and walked away. Soon, she made a dramatic entrance saying, "That's not true. You can't lie to them." But the dad convinced her that the interviewers might hear her, and pleaded with her to sit through it for a few minutes. Then, he continued about his "healthy" diet that contained vegetables and "no pizza."

And that was it! Abby had had enough of it. She laughed and ridiculed him about how he eats chips and sugary food all day, but the dad pretended to deny it as he was giving an "interview." Next, the dad started talking about how he met his wife, Lissa Terry. "I was a centre fielder for the New York Yankees and I was playing one day..." the dad narrated, but apparently, Abby decided she had heard enough. Not ready to take any more of Terry's brutal lies, she smirked at him and said, "I'm done," and disappeared from the scene.
