Fans are loving 'Saw' actor Tobin Bell's answer after a kid asked him 'do you want to play a game?'

As the cast and crew of "Saw X" were gearing up for its September 2023 release, fans were excited for a chance to meet the legendary actor Tobin Bell. The horror icon, who first brought the character Jigsaw to life in 2004, has remained the face of the franchise, and he isn't done yet. However, in real life, Bell is nothing like his terrifying on-screen persona. This was visible in a YouTube video that captured a heartwarming moment at the meet-and-greet, where a little boy approached him.

In the video clip, the kid went up to the actor and said, "I have a question." To this, Bell responded, "Yeah, fire away. I have a question too." Naturally, the only question fans wanted to ask him was about his iconic catchphrase from the series, as reported by Ladbible. The little boy asked, "Do you want to play a game?" Bell replied, "I do want to play a game. But let's start with a pound, ok?" The two then shared a fist bump, and Bell added, "Ok, now, that's the start of the game, now, give me your hand.” They shook hands before the clip came to an end. As the video was uploaded online, fans flooded the comments, praising the actor and sharing their experiences of meeting him.

One YouTube user, @Wehcustoms9654, commented, Tobin is such a nice guy. “Absolutely love actors who are just flat out nothing like the characters they play.” Another person, @pennywisethedancingclown4024, wrote, “Damn I’d love to give Tobin a hug. Sucks he’s getting older. He’s such a gift to the world.” A third YouTube user, @thenightmare92, shared his experience and wrote, “Got to meet Tobin when he came down to the Starbucks I was working at downstairs from the convention he was at. Super nice guy. Told him I was a huge fan of the franchise. Even brought up a movie he was in called Serial Killer that I remember seeing as a kid on TV & his eyes lit up because a fan brought up something other than Saw.”

Bell’s chilling character met his end in "Saw III" back in 2006, and it stayed that way ever since, despite the franchise continuing for years. 'Saw X' doesn’t rewrite history by bringing Jigsaw back to life, yet somehow, the filmmakers have found an interesting way to showcase Bell’s acting onscreen, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. Jigsaw isn’t just a killer, but he’s also a crazy mastermind. He forces his victims through brutal physical and psychological challenges to test their will to survive. His targets are people who he thinks are ungrateful for the gift of life.
In contrast to his on-screen persona, producer Oren Koules described Bell as not just talented but also one of the kindest people, as reported by People Magazine. Producer Mark Burg also praised Bell and said, "Tobin, this is his movie, this is his dialogue. I mean, the writers write Tobin's dialogue and then Tobin's like, 'But John Kramer wouldn't say it this way. And Jigsaw wouldn't say these lines this way.'"
