Weddings are emotionally charged events not just for the couple getting married but also for their families sharing the joy. For former Miss Singapore Kylie Yeo and her boyfriend Daniel Wongzy, this happiness came in the gloomy days of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. Just like any other bride, Yeo possibly expected her father Alan Kuan Hwee to deliver a short speech as she tied the knot. But Hwee's speech turned out to be so emotional that Yeo saw her father break into tears for the first time.

Yeo shared the video from the wedding on her TikTok account @spongliee, and she can be seen walking down the aisle accompanied by her dad. The video has been viewed more than 6 million times so far and it captures a heartfelt moment between Yeo's dad giving her away to the groom. "I'm passing my precious daughter to you," Yeo's dad says at the beginning of his speech as he barely holds back his tears. He reminds his would-be son-in-law to put "his daughter in the first place every time in every situation." But what follows next is bound to leave viewers in tears.

"If one day you ever have a change of heart that you don't love my daughter anymore, please don't hurt her," Yeo's dad said, looking visibly shaken. "Just bring her back to me and give her back to me." The dutiful groom assured Yeo's dad and replied, "It's not going to happen." "My precious daughter is yours," the father concludes as he shares a warm hug with his daughter and the groom. Yeo also had a chat with AsiaOne where she shared her thoughts on her father's speech going viral. "I just happened to post it as a Father's Day post and didn't expect it to get so viral," Yeo said, per the outlet. "I was taken by surprise because I've never seen my dad cry or give such a long, heartfelt speech before. But I treasure that moment because it really showed his love for me, and it still makes me tear up when I watch it," she mentioned.

May he live long to see his grandchildren." @findanabasova6 commented, "The true father should be like this, every husband should hear this in their wedding! This is a very important message which will increase the bond."
