In an incredibly brave incident, a 10-year-old girl, Miracle, turned out to be a real-life hero after she helped her mother, Viola Fair, deliver a baby at home. With the emergency help on the way to their house, Miracle followed all the instructions given to her by dispatcher Scott Stranghoener on a phone call and made sure her new sibling and her mother were safe, all while being very calm. It was nothing short of a miracle that matched her name, made possible by the guidance of the 911 dispatcher. This incident is proof that miracle often happens when we least expect them.

While on a call with Stranghoener, Miracle said, "Hi, I think my mom is in labor." As the ambulance was on its way, the little girl took charge, repeating Stranghoener’s guidance to her mother with confidence, as reported by TODAY. For instance, she instructed her mom, "Don't sit on the toilet." Furthermore, she said, "Mama, they said to lie on your back in the center of the bed or on the floor." The entire time, she also kept calming down her mom and reassured her that everything was ok and she’ll be fine, as reported by CBS News.

The instant the baby arrived, Miracle screamed, “She’s here!” She then lovingly cleaned her newborn sister Jayla’s face. Stranghoener said, "Be very careful, don't drop the baby, OK?" Miracle wrapped her baby sister in a clean, soft towel, protecting her head and carefully checking that the umbilical cord wasn’t tangled around Jayla’s neck. She then guided the first responders straight to her mother’s room. Fair also thanked her elder daughter for showing her bravery in such a tense situation. On the other hand, Miracle described her baby sister as cute. The fire and rescue team appreciated Miracle’s bravery with a special certificate, a stork pin, a tablet with games, and a journal.

The stork pin is given to emergency service personnel who assist with on-field baby deliveries, emphasizing their critical contribution. When the story was shared on various social media platforms, Miracle also received immense praise from the netizens. One YouTube user, @hunna5849, commented, “She's truly a miracle. What's really amazing is how perfectly she's holding her baby sister.” Another person, @Roselady7, wrote, “Wow… that’s not nice. She did a great job. Proud of her. She will be a better big sister because of it.” Similarly, @jillcampbell3510 chimed in and said, “That little girl would make a fantastic Doctor, Nurse, or first responder if she decides to work in that field when she grows up.”

Meanwhile, Christian Hospital Emergency Medical Services also shared a post on their Facebook page, appreciating Miracle for her act of bravery, as well as praising the NCFR and hospital staff who assisted the family after the delivery. Reflecting on the incident, Miracle revealed that she initially felt nervous during the delivery but is now attracted to the prospect of a healthcare career. For the time being, her primary responsibility is to be the best big sister.
