Imagine you are boarded on a long flight, and just when you thought about catching some sleep, you have a co-passenger singing at the top of her voice. While some might enjoy the impromptu concert, others would call it an unnecessary disturbance. Likewise, a man, Romeu, who goes by @druziroaming on TikTok, had a similar experience when, amid a two-hour flight delay circling Orlando, a teenager started singing Moana's How Far I'll Go. Though the man loved the whole performance, several other netizens questioned the bizarre incident, calling out the girl's parents for putting the whole flight through the torturous experience.

In the video, the young girl channeled her inner singer as she took the crew mic on the plane and started singing. The girl looked thrilled as she performed, perhaps, what looked like her favorite song. If you notice closely, you can also see other passengers peeping from their seats to look at her, the teenager with impeccable singing skills. While some people even took out their cameras to capture the not-so-unusual mid-air situation, others kept humming the song with the young girl.

Another woman who was standing beside the girl, possibly someone from her family, stood there, as if offering her the support she needed to sing to a completely unknown crowd. Romeu, who was also one of the passengers on the same flight, wrote, "When your Delta flight is delayed 2 hours and you circle Orlando for another 2…But then a little girl sings Moana on the crew mic, and suddenly everything feels okay," reflecting upon the precious moment.

Meanwhile, Romeu's video went viral on social media, gaining over 33 million views online. Though they loved the girl's singing skills, some netizens called out her parents for irresponsible behavior. For example, @scheckeats said, "Absolutely zero hate to this girl, but major side-eye to her parents. Even if it were a professional singer, I do not want to be subjected to a concert without consent." Another user, who goes by @ashleykerr02 on TikTok, commented, "As a Delta FA…no, no, no! Just because someone wants to hear that doesn’t mean an entire Airbus 321 wants to."

Similarly, a user, @raikeneko, shared, "No hate to the girl, but the parents should know how to read a room. Not everything should be centered around your child. She isn't Moana, and life isn't a Disney movie." @rue wrote, "She’s a good singer, ok, that I will admit, but nobody wants to hear a 12-year-old singing Moana when all they’re trying to do is get to where they need to go. It’s not cute, it’s not whimsical and joyous, it’s just inconsiderate and embarrassing." On the other hand, a person called @daiana on the platform said, "OMG, why is everyone so mean and bitter? It’s just a girl singing. Maybe it’s annoying, yes, but maybe it’s also funny and cute. You grown adults are just so angry over a girl singing a Moana song? Embarrassing!"
