Man Finds Adorable Way to Help His Girlfriend Manage Her Car and The Internet is Applauding
Negative stereotypes are often attached with women who drive, and the fear of criticism based on that further prevents them from asking for help regarding maintenance and other aspects of owning a car. But when someone explains things without being condescending or critical and instead shows care, the advice has a positive impact. In a viral video posted by @senkvero_org, the woman shares how her boyfriend makes her everyday life easy through his thoughtful actions. This video shows how he sticks notes below every piece of equipment to remind her how all of it functions. This has allowed the woman to manage things independently with the guidance of a person she trusts. The video showing her boyfriend's gesture has amassed more than 3 million views on social media.
The video starts with an overlay text that says, "When he makes stickers for your car, so you don't have to remember where goes what." The first sticker that she focuses on reads, "Engine Coolant" and is accompanied by the guideline, "Please don't open when the car is hot." The next label is for "Oil Dip Stick" and comes with the explanation, "This is how you check your oil." The third one is "Window Washer," followed by "Engine Oil" and the instruction "Please check sometimes." These labels help the woman maintain the car on her own.
The adorable couple are already engaged and they also posted a video of their engagement which further shows how endearing the boyfriend is in the seemingly healthy relationship. He is the one who planned everything from start to finish. The couple woke up early after he made an excuse that he wanted to click some pictures for the family, set up the camera, and asked his girlfriend to pose. When she turned towards the sun for a good view, he got down on one knee and gave her a surprise of a lifetime by proposing and she accepted happily. Apart from the video about the car and the proposal, her social media is filled with many such mushy videos showing her boyfriend's loving gestures.
Users in the comment section adored the boyfriend's method to help the woman without making her feel as if she was being criticized. Many even went on to suggest that car companies should look into making such labels a permanent feature in automobiles. @mbali_zonke believes this is the best example of a healthy relationship and wrote, "I love someone who makes your life easier even if it's the simplest things." @hotbreadsnotdead cannot fathom how this has not become a norm with cars and commented, "I love it! Honestly why isn’t this a norm by now?" @nicoleschroeder82 commented, "My husband is slacking! I want labels/stickers to show me what part is what." The comment section makes it very evident that there is clearly a market for more accessible instructions about car parts.
