Little girl was sad after she lost hair from chemo — then her family gave her the sweetest surprise

Cancer can hit without warning, and it's especially hard when it happens to a child. Childhood should be all about play, school, and simple joys, not hospital visits and medical treatments. Her mother shared in the captions, “Our beautiful, strong Cam has asked to cut her hair for weeks. She hated waking up to it on her pillow and was sad to see it come out when we brushed it. We didn’t know how to handle this decision. We were inspired to take such an emotional change and make it something positive and full of love. Cam amazes us every day with how strong and brave she is.”

Cam had been losing chunks of her hair due to chemo, and the daily experience was upsetting her. So the family decided to help her take control of the situation in the most supportive way they could, by turning it into a shared experience rather than taking her to a barber.
