Man Tries to Trick His Wife Into Deciding Where to Eat. He Wasn't Expecting What Followed

Before going out to eat, deciding where to dine becomes a task considering the options available and the varying tastes of people in the household. Among themselves, couples can take hours trying to figure out which is a better place to eat at. As many try to navigate this dilemma, Dave Ippolito of the TikToker couple @daveandjanie, has seemingly cracked the code.

In one of the viral videos, Dave can be seen filming himself and his wife inside a car as their young daughter sits in the back. The overlay text on the video reads, "How to get your wife to decide where to eat immediately." He goes on to ask his wife, "Guess where I am taking you for lunch today?" To which she replies that she has no clue about it. "You have been talking about it for weeks," Janie exclaims all of a sudden and asks if it is the "new pad Thai place." Dave tells her that she has been talking about it for weeks and he has been picking on her cues and now he is about to take her there.

But just as Dave was attempting to trick Janie, she decided to play along and started grilling him instead. "I didn't even think you were listening to me. Do you know where it is?" she asks. But Dave hesitates a bit to answer and tells her that she has to show him where it is. Janie bites back again and mentions that since Dave was planning to take her to the pad Thai place he should have already known the location.

"What is the name of the pad Thai place?" Janie asks him again. "Where is it located?" Dave fails to answer all her questions but continues to record. That's when Janie drops the bomb and tells him that she has already seen this trend on the internet and she knows that he was trying to trick her. "You did not listen to a word I said because I never even talked about a pad Thai place," Janie clarifies. Depicting the way his efforts fell flat the caption on the video reads, "Life hack to easily get your wife to decide where she wants to eat…Gone wrong." The TikTok community consoled Dave on his failed attempt at figuring out the age-old confusion and left some suggestions for him in the comment section as well.
