Motherhood is overwhelming. Yet, some onlookers still feel the need to make sure the mothers are made aware of it. A mother juggling with her kids on a stroller and bags on the other hand is a sight full of awe and wonder for many, but a random passerby made a woman’s day with his sweet and admirable comment. Steph Morrison, a mom-of-three who goes by @stephmorrison on TikTok, did not expect to cry when the old man touched her heart with an unexpected perspective and the best advice for parenting

Morrison patted her baby, wrapped in a baby sling, and narrated how a mere walk down the road turned into an emotional moment. “The sweetest thing just happened. I was just finishing my walk, and we were just walking down our street, and this old man stopped so we could walk by,” the mom shared. She mentioned that she was carrying a double-wide stroller while crossing the road, and the old man bothered to pause to let them pass. He could not resist but blurt out a fleeting expression that resonated with Morrison on a whole other level. “He goes, ‘Wow, you’re going to have a lot of fun,’” the mom recounted.

She was rather moved by this man’s take on motherhood and publicly lauded his stance. Morrison recalled how most people repeatedly point out her busy hands, hinting at the challenges of motherhood “I don’t know why I’m getting emotional telling you now but like most people say, ‘Oh, you have your hands full.’ And it’s like my biggest pet peeve,” the mom added. However, this old man won her heart with his brief yet thoughtful comment. “He was so sweet and I could see the memories flash through his eyeballs,” Morrison noted, presuming the moment must have stirred up some old memories for the kind stranger. “That’s the type of vibe and energy I’m going to bring to motherhood,” she said, holding back her tears.

In the moments leading up to random interaction, Morrison felt blessed to have spent a “really great time” with her kids and was not prepared for an emotional outburst. She advised other mothers out in the world to also look at the brighter side of motherhood and learn to have “a lot of fun” despite the hardships that parenting brings. “Thankful for this sweet glimmer from God,” a part of the post’s caption read. In the comments, several other moms shared similar encounters.

A senior mom (@tarahammond313) penned a thoughtful message for the young moms. “My children are grown, and I think this when I see young Mammas all the time. I am going to start saying it.”
