Babies are adorable– and weird, too. A mother was lucky to have documented her baby daughter’s hilarious little stunt in the middle of the night. When Mama D, who goes by @bigmamadfromnyc on Instagram, heard strange noises emanating from her baby’s room, she decided to check the baby camera. She was clueless about the eerie noises as she scanned the room for the source. Then, she noticed her daughter, and the realization struck hard.

Mama D could not help but contain her giggles while watching her daughter practice fake sneezes in the odd night hours, at 3 a.m. In a brilliant footage, initially giving off a spooky impression, the baby can be seen sleeping still in a comfy bassinet, you might think, until one observes her facial movements. She was, rather adorably, sneezing in her sleep, making for a hilarious memory for her mom to cherish. Moreover, the variations in the sneezes surged from low to high intensity by the end. The baby started with fairly soft and slow "aachoos," eventually leveling it up to tiny screams, presumably having observed adults around her do the same.

“POV: You decided 3 am was the perfect time to practice fake sneezes,” the mother wrote in an overlay text on the video. Whereas, in the caption, she wrote about her reaction to the discovery. “The way I was crying laughing when she got to the screams,” the note read. Mama D’s rib-tickling encounter was a hit among viewers on the internet, attracting more than 8.2 million views. People showered love and laughter on the baby’s innocence and shared their reactions in the comments.

One person (@a_tinted_life) wrote, “Her voice going up an octave for the 'aaaaaaaachoo.'” While another (@ksandusk) related to the instance, and shared, “My one-year-old loves Bluey so she'll just go, 'BINGOOOOOO' in the middle of the night.” Turns out, many of the parents in the comments had similar experiences. A parent (@tfarries17) recalled their son’s antics as a toddler. “My son used to talk in his sleep as an infant/toddler, and it would freak me out because his speech would be so clear and he would say sentences, even though when he was awake his speech was that of a baby, just single words. Every time I'd sit up and watch him because it scared me to the point I couldn't fall asleep,” the comment narrated.

Others were simply impressed by the baby’s feat. Someone else (@jia_loves_luna) wrote, “She’s just self-soothing and minding her own business! Stop spying, Mom. So cute!” A fellow internet user (@the_pediatricsleepnurse) deemed it the best sleeping situation, and stated, “Ok, I’ve seen a lot of hilarious sleeping situations but this might be the best.” People were caught in a baby fever by the cuteness of the video. “Oh my gosh, that is just the sweetest,” said @vheart_photography. “I’m dead, that’s so funny, her brain really said we gotta keep practicing to get this down pat,” mused @deepsleepbabies.

According to Parents, babies tend to exhibit strange behaviors because their consciousness is still developing. Their immature nervous systems, limited life experiences, and cognitive developmental processes trigger the strange actions and noises, which are often a treat for adults to watch. From trembling and shivering to fake coughing and flailing their arms, it's all part of their growth.
