Some parents resort to creative and interesting ways to break down complex ideas when teaching their kids important life lessons. Whether through stories or games, these imaginative approaches keep the kids engaged, ensuring the teachings stick with them. In one touching moment, a creative mom on TikTok, Jackie (@lifeofxaeandz), used a white and a brown egg to teach her daughter an important lesson about culture and race. Her simple yet powerful gesture underscores the importance of teaching kids about inclusivity from an early age.

The video depicts the mother and her daughter in their kitchen with a tray full of different-colored eggs before them. Jackie asks her daughter to crack a brown and white egg into the bowl, revealing that they look the same from inside. She goes on to explain to her daughter that people may have different skin tones and other physical features on the outside, but deep down, we’re all the same on the inside. She says, "We should not treat anybody differently."

Towards the end of the video, upon realizing the valuable lesson taught by her mother, the little girl sweetly exclaims, "I look like mommy!" The caption on the video reads, “A simple but powerful lesson using eggs! No matter what we look like on the outside, we’re all the same inside. Teaching our kids love, kindness, and acceptance starts at home.” One TikTok user, @thatgirlnekkia, took to the comment section to write, “Maybe I’m just overly hormonal right now, but this made me tear up. I’ve actually never seen this depiction/analogy before. Great job, mama!”

Meanwhile, in another incident, a professional childcare provider and a mom on TikTok, Gee Gee Davidson (@queenn_gee), earned praises for teaching an important lesson about people pleasing behavior to her 7-year-old son in a very creative way, using two cups of water—one clean, one dirty. She went on to explain that we are exposed to external negativity daily, and how one should respond to people in such situations, while using some life examples her son could relate to.

She tells her son that agreeing with others' unsolicited opinions would only affect him negatively. Davidson tells her son to respond in such situations by simply saying, "Well, if you don't like it, you don't have to hang out with me.” At the end, she states, "Never dim your light or let other people's opinions define you. Always stay true to yourself." She concluded her video by reflecting on her own childhood, admitting she had tried hard to fit in with her peers. The experience inspired her to raise her child with confidence and a strong sense of self-worth.
