Student finds her history professor on a dating app — internet tells her which way to swipe

A college student, Aurora, was taken aback when she came across her handsome history professor’s profile on a well-known dating app. Intrigued by the unexpected dating app suggestion, she decided to share the moment on her TikTok account @aurorascheat, quickly grabbing the attention of social media users. While mixed reactions flooded the comments, some people praised the professor’s charm, while others took the liberty to tell her whether she should swipe right or not. However, the owner of the video did not reveal her actual age, so the recommendations she received were based on mere assumption. 

The girl wrote in the caption, "Hey girlies. What would you do if you history professor's Tinder account and he looks like this?" The camera then turns to her screen, and the viewers get a glimpse of the "handsome" professor. Social media users were as surprised as the student upon seeing the professor, who sparked a lot of interest.  In the comment section, one TikTok user, @emilydewwillis, commented, “Swipe left. Yes, he’s attractive, but he’s one man out of millions. Healthy boundaries and staying safe are more important.”

Another person, @notyourusualkaren, suggested, “I mean, he’ll only be your professor for a couple more weeks. Swipe right and don’t message until your class is over, girlie.” Similarly, @yours._tru1y chimed in, “Literally, become the top student and get 100% all the time just to get his attention.” @aria.xx_8 also suggested, “Swipe right and then if he speaks up about it, say you didn't recognize him and thought he was just a fine guy.” @reneevelazquez.08 simply said, “If you’re in high school, close the computer and do your homework. If you’re in college, do whatever you want.”

Some people even asked Aurora to send them his profile, saying they’d swipe right on him as they weren’t his students anyway. Sometimes, what starts as a simple moment—a chance meeting, a friendly conversation—can quickly turn into something meaningful. Meanwhile, in another story, a woman named Grace Kelly (@graces__adventures on TikTok) has gone viral on the internet after she shared a video of a 6,000-mile journey, just to meet a known stranger for a second date. 

Recounting her chance meeting, she said, “That first night, we were enjoying each other’s company so much that we decided to stay up all night and make the most of the few hours we had." Soon, it was time for her to fly back to her home country. However, they couldn't stay away for long as Kelly again decided to fly to Taiwan for a second date. Speaking of their bond, Kelly said, “We both rarely meet anyone who we click with this much and whose lifestyle matches each other so well.” Their journey continued when Kelly’s boyfriend later traveled to the U.K. to see her, and soon after, they met each other’s families.
