Sweet groom surprises bride by getting her students with Down syndrome be the ring bearers

Among special relationships, the one between students and their teacher has its own place. A wedding is one of the most important days in a person's life, and that's when they'd want everyone close to their heart around them. A man fulfilled this wish for his bride by bringing her students with Down syndrome to walk down the aisle as ring bearers. It was a heartwarming moment and tugged at the heartstrings of everyone present.
The video of the same was uploaded on Reddit to r/Humanitystory with the title, “The groom surprised the bride by having her students with Down syndrome be the ring bearers.” As Christina Perri’s song "A Thousand Years" played, the kids made their entrance. Every single person in attendance was on their feet as the children walked down the aisle to the couple. The bride could not believe what was happening and had tears in her eyes. The kids made their way to the front and were warmly greeted by their teacher and her new husband. There were hugs and handshakes for the bride and the groom. A couple of the kids were even sitting inside a remote-controlled car, which made them look even cuter. Viewers loved the gesture by the man and were gushing about it in the comments on Reddit.

“I bet there wasn't a dry eye at that wedding, I'm sharing my tears just now lol,” a user named Mississippihermit commented. “I love that he shook that young man's hand. Just like they're equals. Regardless of age,” added another user modest_rats_6. “This is a wedding attendees will remember for life!! It truly showed life is more than just an overpriced gown (even though she looked amazing in hers) when the focus is about the spirit of love, kindness, and giving!!! Those students will never forget that day, and neither will the bride and groom!!!” Jstbeingme28 exclaimed.

It was a beautiful moment on a beautiful day, the kind of feeling one dreams of having at their wedding. However, not everyone’s special day ends up the way they want it to. Sometimes, people can book a whole place for a wedding, get food and drinks, and then, when they walk down the aisle, they see that no one has turned up. That’s what another couple had to go through on what was supposed to be the greatest day of their lives.
Bride-to-be Kalina Marie, who goes by @kaline_marie_23 on TikTok, shared the video of the same on the platform, and she was upset with her so-called friends. “All you see is a woman trying to hold herself together because she had no idea how to deal with her venue being almost completely empty,” she wrote in the caption.
@kalina_marie_23 This is our entrance to our Masqurade ball. The Masqurade ball that I have talked EXCESSIVELY about for the last 10 months. The same ball that I not only digitally invited over 75 people to. But ALSO spent money to send 25 beautiful invitations out to. FIVE PEOPLE SHOWED UP!!!!!!! Like, are you kidding me!?!? As you see in the video, we enter the venue. And no one is there. The invite said 1pm. My mom messaged me at 1:15 that no one was there. My husband and I finally showed up at 2oclock, to 5 people. In a venue planned for 40. I dreamed that I would walk in to a bunch of people cheering us on. Hooting and hollering for us in celebration……but all you see is a woman trying to hold herself together because she had NO idea how to deal with her venue being almost completely empty. All the wasted food and drinks. All the empty tables and chairs. Every moment of my reception changed to adapt. Did we still make the most of it?? You bet your SWEET @$$ we did. But did this video just take all the good moments and shoot them out of the water for a second, F$&K yea it did 😔 It just makes me think, like, why? What did we do? Am I that bad of a person? What did my husband ever do to deserve any of this? Why couldn’t we matter enough for people to show up? I still have “friends” that haven’t even messaged me to congratulate me or tell me why they didn’t come. It truly makes me sick. I honestly can’t wrap my head around this yet. But all I know is, I have my man. My baby. And family that shows up when I need them. And for that, I will be thankful ❤️ #FAIL #fyp #whereisthelove ♬ original sound - Sara Lones
