You may forget the exact lessons you were taught in elementary school, but never the person who taught them. Elementary teachers are the first people who offer guidance to kids apart from their parents. Hence, it is important that these teachers be trained to respond and help the little ones with creative answers to all their naive problems. A teacher, who goes by @mrs.b.tv on TikTok, returned to school after her maternity leave and was open-minded about answering any questions her students may have.

Hence, the video presents an interesting list of questions, including “Where do babies come from?” Her accurate reply without confusing the kids was applauded by the internet. As the teacher enters the classroom, she is welcomed with excited students and several “missed you” wishes. Aware that the kids will have questions, she came equipped with a full-fledged presentation about her pregnancy. “The last time you saw me, I looked like this, remember?” the teacher asked the class, while showing photos of her baby bump. One kid yells, “You were pregnant!?” Noting the shock in his voice, the teacher responds, “Yes, I was very, very pregnant. Didn’t you remember?”

She then revealed that she gave birth to a baby boy, Sam, and has been caring for him for the past three months. Opening the class for questions, the teacher seemingly expected the most innocently funny questions to be hurled at her. The first question asked, “Did Baby Sam ever cry before?” Eventually, someone asked, “Where do babies come from?” The teacher, not surprised, answers calmly, “Ummm…they come from an organ called your uterus.” Some of the adorable questions asked if baby Sam was learning to walk. The teacher said the baby is only 3 months old and, for now, only “lies there and smiles.”

“Can he eat food?” another kid inquired. The elementary teacher followed it up with another question to test the kids’ knowledge. “The only food that he eats right now is what?” The class unanimously answered, “Milk.” Quite hilariously, someone said, “Applesauce.” Another difficult question encountered by the teacher was, “Is it difficult to have a baby?” She readily agreed with a nod. When asked about his sleeping habits, the mother revealed that the baby sleeps in a crib alone the whole night. Simultaneously, a student admits that they had to sleep with their mom until one-year-old.

The class may have ratted out the substitute teacher, who apparently said that the original teacher would not be back after pregnancy. “Oh, I’m back, baby!” the creator confirmed. The video received more than 2.3 million likes and a flood of notes from people. A person (@_samij) lauded the teacher’s honest answers. “You didn’t miss a beat on the ‘where do babies come from’ question. I love the factual, honest answer!” Another (@kirbyelaine06) said, “Let’s give her a round of applause for the save on the last question.” Other people were surprised the mother was so soon back working while her child was only 3 months old. “Three months…Europe is stunned,” noted @elenalundgren.
