Teenagers are now stalking their parents in 'fambushing' trend — and it's surprisingly wholesome

Gone are the days when kids had a tough time explaining to parents about their sneakouts. We're now in a modern world where, hilariously, kids, too, know how to use technology to invade their parents' personal lives. If you're on TikTok, you must be aware of "fambushing," a popular TikTok trend. Well, using an interesting location-sharing app, kids, especially teenagers, are keeping an eye on their parents; basically, they're stalking them like the nosy neighbors, but, of course, strictly in a harmless way. Today, we will talk about three such people who followed the trend, leaving the internet in stitches.

At the top, we have Chrysta, who goes by @chrystamckenziesapp on TikTok. She took to social media to share a hilarious video, revealing how her daughter unexpectedly tracked her down at a location that she possibly had told no one about. Chrysta was at a restaurant, relishing Mexican food, when she saw her daughter walk up to her. "When your daughter stalks your location and sees that you are out, eating Mexican food," she revealed.

Further, Chrysta shared glimpses of her beloved daughter, possibly invading her 'me time,' as she savored the delicacies served at the restaurant. "I hate Life 360," she wrote, talking about her not-so-great relationship with the location-tracking app. Believe it or not, Life360 has made parents' lives a little more hectic because now, their kids aren't leaving any stone unturned to stalk them.

Nicole DeRoy, who goes by @nicolederoy on TikTok, said she isn't able to run errands in peace. The reason? Well, it's no one else but her teen child. When her kid started learning to drive, Nicole willingly downloaded the location-sharing app so she could reach her child in case of an emergency. However, now, the pages have flipped as her child is using the same app for tracking her every move. In the video, Nicole, who was driving to a popular coffee shop, was surprised when she found a text that read, "Since you are at Starbucks, can you get me a coffee?" One look at the text, and she knew she was being followed by her kid.

In another similar incident, using the app, a grown-up man, who goes by @familytokss on TikTok, surprisingly turned up at his parents' lunch date, clearly invading their couple time. "POV: You are a velcro child, who stalks your parents' location, and notices they are on a lunch date without you," the overlay text read. Meanwhile, reacting to his video, @l.l.c59 commented, "To be this grown and still want to be around your parents tells me everything I need to know about the love within this family."

Similarly, another user, @marie, revealed, "My parents tried to go on a trip without me. I met them at the airport. Trying to have their best life without me is diabolical." Another woman, @taylor, wrote, "I called the restaurant once and told them to give my parents the phone since they weren’t answering me." @kay_kreations13 joked, "I don't know why parents insist on thinking they’re grown and can just go on dates without us. Like, no, you need supervision, and I need free food. We’re going as a group!"
