Toddler suddenly realizes his mom is the bride at a wedding — how he reacted took everyone by surprise

Words aren't enough to describe the powerful and priceless bond that a mother shares with her children. But it's even harder to tell what a child feels looking at the mother getting married to start a new phase in life. As Kristie Mihelich began planning her dream wedding to Bobby Mihelich in April 2022, she never imagined that her young son would become the highlight of the ceremony. His heartwarming reaction upon seeing his mom as a bride brought additional joy to the already magical day.

When the ceremony began, 2-year-old Pierson stood by his dad, as anticipation grew for the bride’s grand entry. As the doors opened, the groom wiped away a tear, and little Pierson gazed in awe. However, he was unable to control his excitement as he shouted "Hey, Mom!" and ran towards her with open arms to hug her, as the guests cheered and smiled. Pierson even joined her down the aisle, which was considered the day's most memorable moment, and left loved ones speechless, as reported by Bored Panda.

In the comment section of the video, one Instagram user, who goes by the username @ashleycolyar, said, "The sweetest ever. Like most others who have seen this, I've watched it multiple times and want to kick myself a bit for the puffy eyes I'll have in the morning. Well worth it. How beautiful." Another user, @riseaboveit8, chimed in saying, "His little face and pure excitement made me tear up. He's so cute. He definitely belongs right between them as they walk down the aisle. How lovely. As reported by People Magazine, the bride said, "I couldn't even believe it was happening. It completely diverted my feelings of getting married to just heart-melting. And honestly, I think it was the sweetest moment of my life." She added, "The night before at the rehearsal dinner, I couldn't even get him to stand up next to us to practice at all. He wanted nothing to do with it. I was just happy he was standing there and participating. And then when that happened, I'm like, 'You're kidding me. This could not be better.'" Kristie isn’t entirely sure what was running through Pierson’s mind, but she suspects he was simply not accustomed to seeing her so dressed up and couldn’t wait to be back in her arms.

The son has watched the viral video of himself several times, though he doesn’t quite grasp its significance yet. Kristie shared that Pierson is amazed whenever he sees himself on TV, sometimes popping up on her phone, still unable to believe it. When she tells him he's a celebrity, he just doesn’t understand the meaning behind it yet. Meanwhile, Pierson seemed determined to keep the spotlight on him by charming the bridesmaids with his adorable reaction during the first look with his mom and stealing the show with his dance moves.
