A baby is like a burst of sunshine in a family, filling every corner with joy. Life becomes a fascinating adventure as they grow, and every little milestone feels like a treasure. Therefore, parents wish to capture every little action of their baby before time steals those moments. Similarly, Matt MacMillan, a dad, a video editor, and a creative genius–who goes by @macmillj on YouTube–turned his baby Ryan's coos, gurgles, and squeals into an unforgettable masterpiece: AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." He created one of the most delightfully epic renditions of the rock anthem.

He meticulously gathered the necessary baby sounds for more than a year, then organized them so they struck the right notes. Millions of people saw the video, which went viral and won praise from admirers all over the world. @bobby7556 said, "Imagine his son making a noise and he's just like, 'Yes! That's the pitch I needed, finally." @theforbiddenfruit2300 shared, "The fact that he genuinely found clips that fit every note he needs, instead of just pitch shifting like most videos like this do, really makes this stand out. Good job he's adorable." @erex9875 joked, "This dude had a kid just so he could make this song. What a Legend!"

MacMillan's video has garnered widespread attention and nearly 7 million views on the platform since it was posted 5 years ago. He captioned his video, "I recorded my son making baby noises, figured out the notes he made, and arranged them into 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC." Moreover, MacMillan had a treasure trove of over 80 baby sound clips to select from. He began by handpicking the punchy, rhythmic ones—thumps, coughs, and the jingle of a rattle—to build the song's base, as reported by CNN.

Next, he carefully sorted the remaining sounds by pitch, but the real magic was still to come. By matching every sound of Ryan to the exact notes in 'Thunderstruck,' the dad came up with a rock 'n' roll brilliance. A tiny sneeze roared like a cymbal crash and sofa thumps echoed as booming bass drums, per the outlet. This genius blend of babyhood and rock proves that even the smallest sounds can create something monumental. "[My wife] was trying to wrap her mind around it. There were multiple times, where she would come upstairs thinking one of the kids was crying, but it's actually just the baby sounds coming from the computer," he said in an interview with CBC.

What's even more incredible is that MacMillan could not read music and had no clue what the notes of "Thunderstruck" were. He uploaded another video on YouTube, titled: "How I Made Baby Ryan 'Sings' 'Thunderstruck.'" It shows a list of short videos he recorded of Ryan. "After dumping the clips into the computer, I first pulled out all the sounds without the tone," he said in the video. After that, he manually sorted all the videos according to the pitch. Meanwhile, this wasn't MacMillan's first dive into baby-powered music. Before Baby Ryan won over the internet, MacMillan crafted a charmingly brilliant version of "Carol of the Bells" using the sounds of his daughter Baby Ella. Both tracks are proof that MacMillan has turned baby babble into pure brilliance.
