When men get sick, drama seems to follow, something many women know all too well. This is a shared experience, and that was all too evident when a woman (who goes by the username @mbhanten) decided to record her husband's antics in a hilarious TikTok video that has recently made the rounds on social media.

In the video, the husband is seen standing in front of the bathroom mirror, thermometer in hand, keeping a close eye on his temperature. The big moment comes when he sees a reading of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. For anyone else, that’s just normal body temperature, not a fever or cause for alarm. But to him, it seemed like the world was ending. He looks shocked and almost defeated, clutching the thermometer. Meanwhile, his wife quietly records the whole episode, clearly amused by his over-the-top response. He coughs, sniffs, and acts like he is barely hanging on, and the caption on the video sums it all up perfectly: “How do sick men even ever survive. Please pray for him.”

It didn’t take long for other women in the comments section to jump in with their own takes and experiences. @Sarah Jean pointed out the obvious: “He is correct, it is a temperature. He just doesn’t have a fever.” @AmberjaiO, who works as an ER nurse, joked, “As an ER nurse, I fear it doesn’t look good,” playing right into the overreaction. Then there was @Wiz, who wondered how the man was even standing with such a dramatic reaction to a normal temperature.

In a similar vein, @Liz88101 had a hilarious take on the wife’s role: “Ma’am, why are you recording? You should be calling 911…” As the comments poured in, @Margy Ann quipped, “Post your GoFundMe for his funeral. There is no way he can survive this,” poking fun at the exaggeration. "So sorry for your loss (I’m assuming he’s dead)," @jujujudges, chimed sarcastically. The now-viral video was the perfect example of men turning into helpless, overly dramatic patients when they are under the weather. Women watching can’t help but laugh because they know it’s true, as too often they had had to deal with a sniffle turning into a full-on crisis at home

In a separate incident, however, a man's reactions proved that a little flair for the dramatic can be surprisingly useful. Toddlers, with no real sense of danger, naturally explore everything, even things they shouldn’t touch. Instead of relying just on baby-proofing or warnings, one dad on TikTok dramatically pretended to get electrocuted after crawling toward an electrical outlet, shaking and convulsing as if truly shocked. His over-the-top act startled their toddler into tears, capturing attention and keeping the child safe. The dad's harmless theatricality broke through resistance and drove home an important lesson.
