Young man drops off a drunk girl at home — and even reassures her mom in the most wholesome way

Alcohol can make it difficult for people to think properly, make smart choices and control their emotions. In such states, they often feel frustrated or irritable, and it is never a good idea to leave such a person alone. Thankfully, there are still good-hearted individuals who step in to help. One such incident was captured on a doorbell security camera that was shared by a woman named Daisy–who goes by @achi.1122 on TikTok. In a 20-second clip, we could see a man named Ronny leaving a drunken girl safely to her home after a night out. His small act has since become a shining example of how a responsible and caring gesture should look like when helping someone in such a situation.

Ronny's wholesome show of respect garnered nearly 50 million views in the viral video. In the short video, he was seen leading the intoxicated girl to her front door and even opening it for her. “I’m sorry, Mommy,” the girl said while looking into the doorbell camera before getting inside. Ronny then faced the security camera and introduced himself. He said, “Hi, my name is Ronny. I am sober, and I drove her home.” Ronny knew that the young woman's family would be anxiously awaiting her safe return, and this small gesture would have reassured them. While heading back to his car, he stopped and turned around to say something. He said, "My girlfriend's in the car."

The man probably did this to reassure the girl's family that she wasn't alone with a stranger. His deeds spoke louder than words, and his thoughtful and kind manner demonstrated sincere concern for her safety. Not only that but also innumerable people praised Ronny's kind approach and generosity, and the video's comment section soon flooded. @kuroswa_ chimed in, "The mention of the girlfriend in the car is such a green flag because, like, knowing that it was not a guy and girl alone, but at least another girl there would have made her mom feel less worried." @slucas6767 wrote, "Ronny for the win! What an amazing guy! Thank you, Ronny, from all of us moms out here."

@dancinmermaid added, "We need more Ronnie's in this world! Good job, making sure she gets home safely!" @ulyssia12 said, "I love how he still introduced himself and reassured her parents' every worry. That he’s sober. And there was no funny business." The mom of the girl responded to one of the comments and responded, "Yes. Bless his heart having to deal with his girlfriend and and my daughter being drunk. By looks of McDonald’s in her hands it was not a short ride home."

Not long after, Ronny–who goes by @ocqv on TikTok–shared a video, thanking everyone for all the kind responses. "What I did, I did out of the kindness of my heart. I did not expect anything in return. But now that I am here, and I have a 10-minute of fame, I wanted to take this time to say that what I'm doing shouldn't be praised. It is not something out of the ordinary," he said in his video, which garnered nearly 420k views so far.

@ocqv to be quite honest, I got tired of re-recording this video, I feel like I got my point across enough to be understood. However, if you did not understand what I was trying to say, I’m going to further explain it. I want to take the 10 minutes of fame that I have right now to spread the message, be kind. If at any point, you are in a similar or relevant position where you know you have the ability to help, help. There are certain things in life that sadly not all of us were told and I think that’s why the world is the way it is. I am really grateful for my parents for raising me the way they raised me. And to be quite honest, I don’t think I would’ve acted the same way if they would have taught me otherwise. All I’m trying to say is, although I greatly appreciate the attention and the compliments what I did shouldn’t be something exceptional. It should be the normal thing in my opinion, I believe that everybody’s in a position to help at some point in their life some people just don’t take that opportunity so let this just be a little reminder, help, be kind. Thank you guys 🫶🫶
