Couple who went out to eat receive an unforgettable moment captured by the restaurant’s CCTV
Laughter is contagious, and you cannot help but smile, maybe even slip out a little giggle, when watching the CCTV footage of a couple having the time of their lives at a restaurant. Rosie Evans, who goes by @rosieevanss17x on TikTok, was stunned after the restaurant handed them the footage of their giggles as a memory. The post went viral, amassing 144,000 views, as people put the couple on a pedestal for their ideal relationship.
Evans, 30, and her partner Chris, 31, were out for a meal at a local Italian restaurant, Zitto e Mangia in Tewkesbury, England. As revealed in the comments, she met up with Chris right after she got off work. Originally, the couple was going to do a takeaway for home, but decided to eat in. Safe to say, it was worth it. As they were waiting for the limoncello, Evans seemed to narrate a story to Chris, who suddenly burst into laughter, nearly knocking over his glass on the table.
Acting quickly, Evans held on to the spinning cup while they continued to giggle. She rests her head on the table, as if to conceal her laugh, and Chris tries to speak in between his cackles but fails. To avoid an accident, Evans then moves away the glass, she was still holding on to, to the other side. Moments later, the TikTok user pulls out cash from her bag, firing up their laughter sessions once again.
Chris nearly lets out a scream before he holds her hand and then puts his head down on the table. Their fun conversation seemed to turn heads at the restaurant, and on the internet as well. “When you get sent CCTV footage of nearly 10 mins of you and your partner just constantly laughing like this,” an overlay text shared. While in the caption, Evans added, “over the most stupid stuff too.” After the couple left, the restaurant staff, enjoying their rib-tickling moment, checked the footage and shared it with the couple.
Natasha, the restaurant owner, talked to Newsweek about the footage and the couple. "Her and Chris are a fab couple, they have a lovely relationship, and it transpires in that clip. It's great when you can laugh together—and at each other!—like that,” she said. Natasha has known Evans for years and is also one of her clients at her workplace. Speaking of the reason behind the viral footage, Evans revealed, “It's so ridiculous really. We were laughing about a £5 note! We were talking about payment for the meal, and Chris said he had a fiver, and it sent me.” The footage is only a glimpse of the kind of relationship the couple shares with each other.
"We're always winding each other up and having fun, but we do have our spats,” she added. Not that they do not have arguments like any other couple, but Evans and her partner try to laugh them out whenever possible. Meanwhile, people were intrigued by their laughter and reacted to the post with an array of insights.
