Mom-of-3 uses a PowerPoint to persuade her husband to have another baby — it actually worked

A mother convinced her husband to have their fourth child in typical corporate fashion. Sue Rose, who goes by @suerose on Instagram, is a happy mother of three, but her insatiable desire for motherhood continues to thrive. However, her husband is not all that convinced. In a hilarious video, Rose tries to persuade him to have their fourth baby with a PowerPoint presentation at home. She explains several fair points on why bringing another child into their lives would be worth it, while her husband reacts to her gesture with laughs and humorous cries.

Wearing a baby blue dress and cradling their youngest child, Rose, 29, enthusiastically jumps in front of a screen that reads, “Why we should have baby #4.” The husband, Josh Vida, 31, yells, “Oh God, no! We don’t even have room for the kids we have now.” The mother of three shushes him and claims, “I make cute babies.” Her first valid point. Quickly following it up with another, Rose says, “I’m a super supportive mom. No matter what they wanna do or who they wanna love, I’ll always support them.” At this point, Vida is almost convinced but contemplates whether these were good enough reasons to have “another kid.”

Then, Rose pulls up her strongest point, “Avoid the triangle of sadness.” Painting a scenario, she urged her husband to picture two of their sons playing while the third is left alone. Vida chimes in, “A puppy would do that.” Rose, clearly not impressed, makes a serious face before the video cuts to one of their sons randomly yelling. “If it’s another boy, they could start a boy band,” the mother suggests. She also tries to lure her husband by proposing the idea of him being a “girl dad.” Out of nowhere, the mother pulls out an adorable pink dress, suggesting there could be more if they had a girl.

“Where did you even get that from?! I’m with you all the time! When did that get here?” the husband remarked. However, he confirmed that the couple would be going to the pound to get a puppy. Rose, who is not happy about it, declares, “To the room.” The post was captioned, “Should I bring back the presentations?” Rose talked to Newsweek about her PowerPoint presentation rituals since childhood. She even pitches her Christmas gifts using the method. “I actually thought it'd be fun to do a presentation on a Louis Vuitton purse I've been wanting for years. I even made a presentation for baby number four, and well, that did work out," she added.

The video was a hit among viewers, attracting 38,158 hearts and dozens of comments from people. “In summary: She wants a girl,” said @fm_aj1 while @erina_rose98 noted, “Goes to show how successful this PPT was.” However, a critic (@culturedsavage) opined, “Supporting your kids no matter what they want is not good parenting. That’s actually not parenting. Love your stuff, though, just saying.” A third viewer (@gabzmaral) stated, “Avoiding the triangle of sadness is a good point.” Turns out, Rose’s presentation was a success, and the couple had their fourth baby in April 2024.
