Parents with toddlers have the important task of teaching their children how the world works. Not entertaining strangers is just one of them. When mom Lindsey, who goes by @lindseymbroz on TikTok, decided it was time for her 4-year-old son to learn about “Stranger Danger”, she did not expect his hilarious response. Rowan stood ready to belt out his reaction while his mom filmed the moment, which turned him into an overnight sensation on the internet.

The 31-year-old mother asked her son what he would say to a stranger if they invited him to their car for candy treats and a “puppy.” On cue, Rowan, featuring his spiked hair, said, "No, thank you. My papa is going to come over and whoop your candy a**."  In an interview with Newsweek, Lindsey jumped in to clarify that she did not teach her son to talk like that. However, the toddler phase is always full of surprises. "I did not teach him to say it. He's four, so it's always a surprise what might come out of his mouth,” she confessed.

Rowan walked away with an adorable smirk while his mom supported his stern response with cheers. However, the kid was not talking about his father but his Grandad in the video. Lindsey figured he must have picked it up from her dad while watching wrestling together. “He learned that all on his own,” she added. Nevertheless, the mom was content that her son knew about the dangers of talking to a stranger and how he must deal with it, as needed. Rowan went viral with 7.9 million views for his response, leaving the internet in hysterics. The TikTok post received 819,000 likes and thousands of comments about the boy’s charm

One person (@jaebaebayy) said, “So polite before the threat.” While another (@jamesstorlie927) praised, “Great job, dig the hair, young man.” “Papa must be so proud,” mused a fellow viewer (@poppyseedandfriends). “The way he says it, his facial expressions, the tilt of his head, and the eyebrows, priceless,” noted @karlabrowman2. “That’s stone cold Steve Austin in the making,” wrote @mochalatte1287, making a WWE reference. “Well said, lil’ bro,” lauded @jacklinksjerky and @motofab1 supported, “I’m a Papa and I agree with this message.” “I love the passive aggressiveness on this little dude,” joked @statenislandmarj.

According to Raising Children Network, toddlers like to pick up and try out words they hear and often make up by themselves. This does not mean they know the exact meaning of the words they use, including swear words.

Although it may seem fun at first, parents must discourage the behavior gently and discuss acceptable language. To prevent the kids from being exposed to profanity, adults must limit their usage and be more conscious about their conversation to model the right behavior for them.
