Sweet dad’s gentle postpartum care for his wife and newborn has people reaching for the tissues

Childbirth isn't easy, but that's not the only difficult part about welcoming motherhood. Postpartum, or puerperium, as it is called, can take a toll on most women as their bodies prepare to return to their pre-pregnancy state, influencing significant physical, psychological, and hormonal changes. Kaci Drigger, who goes by @caseyandkaci on TikTok, too, went through a similar phase, but it was her beloved husband, Casey, who, perhaps, made her journey a bit easier with his unconditional love and support.

Just like most mothers, Kaci also went through a tough time dealing with postpartum stress. She was so weak physically that she could hardly even stand without any support; however, her husband, Casey, then became her guiding light, helping her through the process. From combing her hair and giving her a gentle bath to literally carrying her everywhere as she struggled to walk, the man didn't leave any stone unturned to make his wife feel comfortable.

Not just Kaci, but Casey also took care of their baby, from giving baths to changing diapers. The daddy-dearest was at the top of his game, handling everything like a pro. At times, Kaci shared how Casey could possibly sense his wife's discomfort and decided to dress her up so she could feel a little better, proving just how important a supportive partner is, especially during pregnancy and childbirth. "This is what being 'manly' looks like," she wrote in the caption. When Kaci Driggers shared the video, she received an overwhelming response on social media, with people praising the man for being such a gentleman.
For instance, echoing the sentiments, @jimmy said, "We exist, ladies; it's just a rare find nowadays. I acted the same way with both of my boys and took real good care of Momma." @riahbee commented, "As someone who didn’t get this experience, I’ve never loved something for a stranger more than this." A user, @baili, revealed, "My nurses literally told me they were shocked that my husband was taking care of me. They said they hardly see that. I was like, What? This is the bare minimum? I just birthed his child, like, what?"

Another user who goes by @belton45 on TikTok shared, "That’s not a good man; that’s a dang great man right there. Any man can be a husband or a father, but when you see a man taking his vows seriously, that’s amazing!" @bakroo0287 revealed, "When our son passed away, I told my husband I don't know if my heart will ever be whole again. He told me I have the rest of our lives to try and fix it. I knew in that moment he was everything." @ravencassie said, "My ex-husband screamed at me for not getting in the car fast enough. My legs and feet were so swollen after days of labor and the emergency cesarean." @pwn.mama23 wrote, "I’m a postpartum nurse, and let me tell you, this is STELLAR work! So much of my job is assisting mamas with all this while the dads sit on their phones."
