This 2-year-old ring bearer wasn't happy with flower girl's 'mess' — how he reacted was pure gold

Kids are just grown-ups with miniature frames. During Doug Savitz and Alexandra Salmieri’s wedding ceremony, two little ones were assigned the duties of ring bearer and flower girl. As the toddlers walked down the aisle, turn by turn, a hilarious scene unfolded that left the wedding guests roaring in laughter. The bride, Salmieri, tied the knot to her husband in a church ceremony in New York. Her nephew, Lorenzo LaMotte, only 2.5 years old, looked sharp in a black tuxedo, carefully walking the aisle with a decorated white cushion, as seen in a video posted by his mom, Taylor LaMotte (@tik.tok.tayy).

Before he reached the altar to greet the bride and groom, a certain maintenance issue piqued his curiosity. Just before him, the flower girl and his cousin, a 1.5-year-old, Giana Salmieri, had graced the aisle with her basket of petals. She dashed through the path, dumping all of the petals from her basket to the floor. The guests seated alongside cheered her on until her elder cousin stepped in. Like a proper gentleman, LaMotte took elegant steps towards the altar. But when he caught notice of the fallen petals, his epic reaction left everyone cracking up. He pointed at the petals, annoyed, and said, “What is this mess?!”

By now, he was least bothered about his wedding formalities and avoided stepping on the petals while stomping down the aisle. To assert his concern once again, the nephew turned back and reiterated his problem with the messy aisle. The guests laughed and gawked at him in awe of his grown-up reaction. The hilarious wedding moment received 4.4 million views and 541,000 likes.

In an interview with PEOPLE, his mom, Taylor LaMotte, said, “His mind probably was saying, 'What in the world is going on? We can’t make a mess like this at home!” After the wedding, people were obsessed with the moment captured on camera and replayed it multiple times. "Everyone was hysterically laughing,” the mom said. However, Lorenzo was confused about the joke and took his job seriously. The kids seemed to have a better sense of duty than most adults at the wedding. When everyone was out taking group photos, Lorenzo, who did not complain about the mess later, got together with his cousin, Giana, to clean up the aisle.

The nephew unintentionally stole the show and, having done a great job during the wedding, his parents gifted him two gifts– a helicopter toy and a bubble machine. Lorenzo always has “something funny to say unintentionally,” his mother revealed. While the guests have had their share of laughs, now, the internet is enjoying the toddler’s exploits.
