Excited bride runs away with groom during wedding but there was one problem — it was the wrong guy

The excitement at weddings is off the charts. Soaking in all the energy, a bride exited her ceremony with the wrong guy. It’s not every day you feel as special as a bride on her wedding day. But the excitement seemed to have gotten to this woman from Florida, who barely had an idea of the man she was about to jump in the wagon with. A TikTok user (@_its_skysky) shared a viral video of the wild moment, sparking a fanfest of humor and laughter in the comments.

Bidding farewell to her guests, the bride, Mrs. Aubrey Day, rushed out of the wedding hall, dragging an unidentified man behind her. A crowd of guests waiting at the exit cheered for the couple when the bride emerged, jumping in excitement, unbeknownst to her hilarious blunder. She held the guy by his wrist and ran down the stairs yelling, “Yay!” until the cheers died out and one of the guests informed her, “You have the wrong dude!” The bride and the guests burst into laughter while the guy fled the scene, signaling with his hands.

The wedding photographers filmed the moment with flashing lights as the bride ran back inside to get her husband. This time, it was the correct guy. The re-do was successful as the newlyweds walked out hooting and cheering. “Got the right man this time,” a text on the video announced. The couple then got on a golf cart, ready to bid farewell in style and with a fabulous final moment of their wedding celebrations. The post was captioned, “When you exit your wedding with the wrong man.”

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Day explained her side of the story. "We were having fun and dancing. I think that video kind of describes that. We had so much fun that I ran out with another person,” she said. Some of the best moments in life are often unplanned. Speaking of the guy she had initially eloped with, the bride revealed he was the stand-in groom and her husband’s coworker, JT. When asked why played along, Day got to know JT’s ulterior motives. ”I asked him, ‘Why did you go along with it?’ and he was just laughing, and he was like ‘You just grabbed my hand and kept dragging me and I thought it would make a great story,’" the bride conveyed. Well, there’s no doubt in that.

Day and her husband were having so much fun at the wedding that she decided to run. "Our sparklers were canceled because it was sprinkling. We were jumping around, having so much fun, and I was thinking, in that moment, that we had to run. I thought I grabbed my husband’s hand." Interestingly, the husband, Brandon, was still dancing to the saxophone, unaware of all that had happened. The wedding took place at Crosswater Hall at Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, Florida, designed to be a fun night for both the couple and the guests. They had hired a DJ, a saxophone player, offered espresso martinis, pizza for dinner, and ice cream for dessert. They are now looking for a home and live in Jacksonville.
