Magicians may need smoke and mirrors but that’s only because they don’t have an adorable face like hers to work the real magic. In a now-viral video that was posted by @afvofficial, a tiny pajama-clad magician prepares to impress her parents with a disappearing act. Dressed in a pink pajama set and mismatched slippers, one blue and one yellow, she grips a grey blanket with the confidence of a seasoned performer. Standing proudly near the door of the room, she’s ready to make magic happen with no props required, well, except maybe the blanket.

Her father, filming the moment, asks, “What are you gonna do?” With bright eyes and a confident smile, she excitedly pronounces, “I’m gonna disappear!” She puts the blanket over her head and applying her trick puts it down, and takes off running, and wham! In the middle of the act, she bangs her head on the door with a little thud. For a brief moment, there’s silence, until one can hear her mother chuckle in the background. But true to her spirited nature, the toddler doesn’t stop. The blanket slips to the floor, but she keeps running across the room, as if the bump never happened and the show must go on.

Her 'magic trick' might not have gone exactly as planned, but she proved something even better, that determination, imagination, and a sense of fun are truly magical on their own. The video has quickly become a favorite among parents and viewers who see bits of their own children and childhood in her. They couldn’t get enough of her unstoppable spirit. “No time for a cry, show must go on,” wrote @brought2uby__, while @manseaa__ added, “I love how she continued the disappearance. The show must go on.” Her bravery had fans both laughing and admiring her toddler tenacity. As @amtousig99 put it, “I swear toddlers are indestructible.” “She was committed to the bit and powered through it!” praised @illagepostnatalretreat. Even though she bumped her head, @dianeergon summed it up best, noting down, “Oh my! So cute even though she bumped her head.”

And in true magician style, though she may have 'disappeared,' as @yolie1024 cleverly noted, “luckily she left evidence behind so we can find her.” Sometimes, the best kind of magic is the kind that makes everyone watching burst into laughter and this little magician delivered just that. Videos of toddlers playing hide-and-seek or pretending to disappear have become a beloved corner of the internet. In another adorable compilation of videos, one child holds a broom to her face, pretending to hide, while another toddler simply closes their eyes while sitting on a chair, convinced that doing so makes them invisible. The best part being here that the parents play along, pretending they can’t see them, fully encouraging the innocent fun.
