Karaoke bars are a fun place to be, that is, until the singer of your chosen song shows up. This is exactly what happened when a woman who took the stage to perform her rendition of All the Small Things by punk rock band Blink-182. A man named Kyle, who goes by @websitelandlord on TikTok, watched as a surprising coincidence unfurled in front of his eyes. The music legend who had penned the song the woman was singing to was sitting right in the audience, enjoying her performance from a distant table from the stage.

Kyle was quick on his feet and managed to capture the woman singing, and then turned towards the audience. He briefly filmed a man wearing a white T-shirt and a snapback cap nodding to the woman’s performance. It did not take him long to realize that it was Tom DeLonge, the co-founder and co-lead vocalist of Blink-182. As the woman, dressed in an interestingly graphic T-shirt dress, gave her rocking performance complete with a vocal fry on stage, DeLonge was seen enjoying her version of his band’s song.

It is worth noting that the woman identified as Monica was clueless about the musician’s presence. Her growl attempt even got DeLong cracking up in the end. “She genuinely had no idea Tom DeLonge was sitting right there,” an overlay text read. In the caption, Kyle conveyed that he later informed Monica about her famous spectator. “She had no idea the guy who wrote that song was sitting right there. I told her and her friends, and they lost their minds,” he wrote. The video received more than 3.3 million views and about 500,000 likes. Most people were curious about the woman’s reaction.

“I need to see her reaction to learning that Tom witnessed this,” said @ginalynn480 while @leighora56 noted, “He loves how unhinged this is.” “If I ever made Tom DeLonge laugh, I'd put it on my resume,” shared @vivalaala. “This is so bizarre. I love it. It’s like a glitch in the matrix or something,” expressed @angel.bay.bee. Giving in to the viewers’ demands, Kyle added context with two follow-up posts on the platform.

In a second video he shared, amassing 237,000 views, Monica continued her unabashed performance mimicking the rockers. Zooming in to catch DeLonge’s reaction, viewers saw the artist laughing it out with his friends. Kyle was determined to transform the bizarre coincidence into something special and got in touch with the woman after her performance. He found out that she had nothing but a candid picture of her and DeLonge from the karaoke night.

“This is a photo of her running to Tom DeLonge after I told them he was sitting right there,” he captioned the third post. Viewers invested in the story took over the post with additional insights. “He’s terrified as she’s smacking him. So funny,” wrote a person (@mrs.hellmer) while another (@burtwhitaker1) analyzed, “He is not impressed.” DeLonge co-founded Blink-182 in 1992 with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. He was an on-and-off member till 2015 before rejoining in 2022, per The Mirror
